 I'm really interested in what Sam was saying about how disconnect occurs between people who were once connected.  When you're really close to someone and see each other all the time there can be moments of silence or tension. When you're far away from someone there can be inaccurate/misleading communication due to social media.  I think what he was saying about social media was really interesting and important.  I imagine that a tech element could be used, like a video of a scrolling news feed and memes and emojis, etc.  All the noise and the polarization on the internet can keep us from truly connecting with one another in the ways that matter most.  I also love the physical image of being close in proximity but distant emotionally, and I think some thoughtful physical theatre could tell that story well.
